Licensed shelters & foster homes

If you are a licensed animal shelter, or you foster dogs in your home and hold adoptions, our Foundation can help cover foster-care expenses prior to adoption. We pay the expenses for each dog you place into the home of an adopter who lacks the funds to pay adoption costs.

Shelters and fosters outside Arizona can still be listed on our website and participate.

Police, Fire & Ambulance Program

What happens if you’re in a car accident, hospitalized, or your home is damaged by fire? Too often the family dog is taken to the pound and euthanized if no one claims it in time — and older dogs are rarely cared for.

If called, Forever Care will step in and place the animal in foster care until the owner can return, or work with our partner organizations and approved individuals to make sure the animal is cared for while it waits for a new forever home.

For EMTs, firefighters, police and ambulance personnel who rescue dogs and notify us for pickup instead of the pound, Forever Care will donate $200 to the charity of their choice for every dog processed through the program.
